An almost weightless pure silk scarf shaped through Tekumo Shibori into delicate, web-like texture. Softly diffused ombré color moves across its sculptural surface, creating an expressive accessory that becomes increasingly fluid and personal with wear.

Description

When the bindings are released, the silk opens into a delicate pattern reminiscent of a spider’s web – the defining character of Tekumo Shibori. Fine ridges and gathered forms give the surface a striking sense of dimension, transforming exceptionally light silk into something sculptural and full of movement.

Color settles softly across the folds, revealing subtle changes in tone as the scarf is wrapped, draped, or allowed to fall naturally. Light and shadow move across the textured surface, giving the piece a different expression from every angle.

With wear, the silk gradually becomes softer and more fluid. The dimensional texture gently relaxes, the tonal variations grow more apparent, and the scarf develops a character shaped by the way it is worn. Generously proportioned, it may be styled around the neck, draped over the shoulders, or worn as an expressive silk wrap.

Selected by House of Shokunin from a Kyoto textile house, the Tekumo scarf is a poetic study in texture and transformation—light in the hand, rich in presence, and designed to become more beautiful over time.

Care & character

  • Because of the nature of the dyeing process, contact with water, perspiration, or friction may cause some fading or color transfer. Keep the scarf as dry as possible to help preserve its dimensional shibori texture.
  • Subtle variations in size, texture, shape, and color are natural characteristics of the materials and shibori process. These differences contribute to the individuality of each scarf and should not be regarded as imperfections.
  • Colors may appear slightly different depending on lighting and individual screen settings.
